Ticket Information and Policies


The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase of tickets to SJMF sponsored events.  If you have any questions, please contact us at webmaster@StJosephMusicFoundation.org or by phone at (816) 676-1112.  If a Foundation representative is not available immediately, please leave your name and contact information, be it a phone number or email address, and we will contact you as soon as possible.  Speak clearly and spell it out if you feel that will help us.  If, for some reason, you do not receive a return communication within 24 hours, try again!  As we all know and understand, in this day of electronic communication, sometimes things break.

This Purchase Policy incorporates, by this reference, a basic Code of Conduct.  Remember, we are all guests at these events.  Each ticket that you purchase is a license to attend a particular event, and is subject to the additional terms set forth on that ticket or in the specific Event Information.

Currency
All ticket prices for events that occur in the United States are stated in U.S. Dollars.  All ticket prices for events that occur outside the United States, for example, France, are stated in that country’s currency along with the United States equivalent.

Payment Methods
We accept several methods of payment to accommodate your needs.  If the event for which you are buying tickets is located in the United States, you may use American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or direct bank transfer.  If the event for which you are buying tickets is located outside the United States, you may use American Express, Visa, MasterCard or direct bank transfer unless noted in the specific Event Information.

Who You Are Buying From
In most cases, you are purchasing tickets directly from the Foundation for a Foundation sponsored event.  In some cases, the Foundation acts as the agent to those who are promoting or otherwise providing the events for which you purchase tickets, such as venues, artists' representatives and promoters ("Event Providers").

Pricing and Availability
In most cases, the Foundation will set the price of the tickets you are buying.  In some cases, the Foundation sells tickets on behalf of promoters, bands and venues, which means the Foundation does not set the ticket prices or determine seating locations.

Tickets are generally sold through several distribution points, including online, retail locations and box offices.  Most distribution points generally access the same ticketing system and inventory.  Therefore, tickets for popular events may sell out quickly.  Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event.
The Foundation may or may not control this inventory or its availability.

Order Confirmation
If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with your Customer Service Department whether or not your order has been placed.  Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process.  The St. Joseph Music Foundation will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.

Convenience Charges and Order Processing Fees
Tickets purchased for Foundation events are NOT subject to a convenience charge or a processing fee.  In some cases, delivery prices will apply.
Tickets for events other than Foundation events may be subject to such charges.

Limits on the Amount of Tickets Purchased
In some cases, you may be limited to a specified number of tickets for each event.  The maximum amount of tickets available to any one individual will be listed in the event information.

Cancelled and Postponed Events
At this time, refunds will not be credited to your credit card but instead will be mailed to you in the form of a check by registered US Mail.
For postponed or re-scheduled events, you have the option of a refund or you may keep the tickets and they will be honored at the re-scheduled event.  Tickets for the postponed event will be honored ONLY at the re-scheduled event and no other.
If you choose to return a ticket for a postponed event, contact the Foundation first!
You have 30 days to return postponed event tickets. After 30 days, the tickets may not be returned for refund.

Opening Acts
You are purchasing tickets for the event.  Opening acts or guests may or may not tour with headlining performers.  We will make every effort to make those acts known to the public but it may not be possible in all situations.  We are not always made aware of opening acts or the length of their performances.  These opening acts are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice.  No refund will be owed if an opening act is changed or cancelled.

Refunds and Exchanges
Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat selection, if applicable.  Policies set forth by the Foundation and our associates, including venues and theaters, generally prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased or if that ticket is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.

The following applies only to tickets to Illinois events.
If you purchase tickets to an event located in Illinois through the Foundation, you will receive a refund of the amount you paid for that resold ticket if: (a) the ticketed event is cancelled (in which case you will not receive a refund of any delivery fees), (b) that ticket does not allow you to enter the ticketed event for reasons that may include, without limitation, that the ticket is counterfeit or that the ticket has been cancelled by the issuer due to non-payment, unless the ticket is cancelled due to an act or omission by you, (c) that ticket fails to conform to its description on this web site, or (d) you failed to receive that ticket.

The following applies only to tickets to New York State events.
If you purchase a ticket through the Foundation to an event located in the State of New York, the Foundation will provide to you a full refund of that amount you paid for that resold ticket if: (a) the ticketed event is cancelled, provided that if the ticketed event is cancelled then the order processing and delivery fees will not be refunded; (b) that ticket does not grant you admission to the ticketed event, unless the ticket is cancelled due to an act or omission by you; or (c) that ticket fails to conform to its description on Foundation event information unless you have pre-approved a substitution of tickets.

Billing Information Verification
Orders are processed only after a billing address, and other billing information, has been verified.  Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for a ticket order that can delay processing and delivery.  In these cases, a Foundation representative will attempt to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase.  If we are unable to reach you after our initial attempt, we may cancel your order and may sell your tickets to another customer without further notice.

Delivery Options
If you purchase tickets from our website, you have several delivery options for your tickets.
The method you choose will determine the final delivery cost to you.

Our normal delivery method is US Mail.
In most cases, there is no additional cost.
If additional costs apply, it will be noted to you before the tickes are purchased.

Double check your Shipping Address that it is correct.
We cannot be responsible for tickets shipped to the wrong address.
If you have any special instructions, be sure to enter them in the provided area.

For an additional shipping charge, you may also choose UPS or Fed EX.
Make a note in the Special Instructions area. In any case, a signature will be required.

On some occasions, your tickets will be delivered by email.
Instructions for email delivered tickets will be provided at that time.

You may also choose to have your tickets available as "Will Call".
With this option, your tickets will be waiting for you at the door on the day of the event.
You will receive a confirmation email after you place your order which includes a confirmation order number.
Please bring a copy of that email with you.

Pricing and Other Errors
If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect regardless of whether because of an error in a price posted on the Foundation web site or otherwise communicated to you, or you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or you are able to order a ticket that was not supposed to have been released for sale, then the Foundation will have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund to you the amount that you paid.  This will apply regardless of whether because of human error or a transactional malfunction of this web site or other Foundation operated system.

Multiple Browser Windows
When ordering tickets online, please be sure you are placing an order using only one browser window.  Looking up tickets using multiple browser windows could result in losing your tickets or timer expiration.

Limitation of Liability
By purchasing a ticket through the Foundation, you agree to the terms of this Purchase Policy and to the terms of the Liability Waiver on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor.  You assume all risks incidental to the event for which a ticket is issued, whether before, during or after play or performance.
If you are injured at the Event, immediately ask an usher for directions to a medical station.

Ejection and Cancellation
Event Providers reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with Event Provider rules.  Breach of terms or rules will terminate your license to attend the event without refund.  A ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket's face amount.

Redemption Value
A ticket has no redemption value and is not redeemable for cash.

Recording, Transmission and Exhibition
You agree not to record or transmit, or aid in recording or transmitting, any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the event.  You grant permission to utilize your image, likeness, actions and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event (regardless of whether before, during or after play or performance) in any medium or context, currently invented or not yet invented, without further authorization or compensation.

You Are Subject to Search
While the Foundation fully supports individual freedoms and your rights as an American citizen, for the safety of all others involved, you and your belongings may be searched on entry.  You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise.  If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation.  Under certain facility rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, weapons, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers.

Unlawful Re-Sale of Tickets; Commercial Purposes
Unlawful resale of tickets (or attempt) is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation.  A ticket shall not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, unless formal written authorization is given by the Event Provider, provided that even if such consent is obtained, use of the Foundation’s trademarks and other intellectual property is subject to the Foundation’s consent.
