          The St. Joseph Music Foundation has started a program of collecting and distributing instruments for children. In addition to the instruments, we also plan to provide lessons for those children. We are accepting any musical instrument. Please contact us if you have an instrument you wish to donate or if you would like to help with monetary donations.
If you are a teacher interested in helping, please contact us for details.

        Sad news this week. Richard Wright, keyboard player, singer and songwriter

          St. Joseph has been awarded the Missouri Arts Council 2008 Creative Community Arts Award.
          Mayor Ken Shearin will recognize the community for this acheivement at the City Council meeting on
          Monday, November 19, 2007, 7:00 pm, 3rd floor in City Hall.
          The award will be presented officially in a ceremony on February 13, 2008, 2:00 pm at the Capitol
          Rotunda in Jefferson City. Click here for the News-Press article.
